Today Bpifrance (represented by Pascal Lagarde, its Executive Director and TMG’s Chairman) and the BDC (represented by Isabelle Hudon, President and CEO) participated at the COP26 High-level event on Financing SMEs for Sustainability hosted by OECD Centre for Entrepreneurship, SMEs, Regions & Cities

The following main messages were shared by Isabelle and Pascal:

  • Isabelle Hudon highlighted that the new platform will be highly inspirational and can accelerate the greening efforts for SMEs.
  • Based on BDC’s experience as founding member of The Montreal Group (TMG), she explained the relevance of sharing information, learning from others based on real visible data and global networking.
  • Pascal Lagarde explained Bpifrance’s ambitions and actions as the Climate Bank in France.
  • As chairman of TMG, he reiterated the forum’s commitment to impacting the MSMEs' global sphere through sharing of best practices and added that the real value of international cooperation in this transition will be to create complementary and less complex sustainable taxonomies and principles that SMEs can follow.

This great conversation showed that that international forums, like ours, will play a crucial role in driving our economies to a more sustainable state.
